No Real Photo, Avatar Instead

Well, the article I had in mind today to write is centered around why online, internet, MLM, network, and affiliate marketers choose to use an avatar, emblem, or some sort of logo instead of inserting a genuine photo of themselves on Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Twitter, VK, and other forms of social media.

One reason an avatar is used is because they may want to really solicit, expose or promote the business they're representing. This isn't an invalid reason at all. There are cases when a new business is in a pre-launch or just starting out. Marketing your business is big when it's fairly new or just starting out.

A second reason you may decide to select an avatar instead of your real photo, is you may be just starting out as an online marketer. In the beginning, you may not be very comfortable using your real photo, because it's a business that is a bit foreign and strange. Not all of your friends and family may get it. You may want to use some ambiguity, so your good friends and family don't quickly draw conclusions.

Now, it will vary from person to person when it comes to whether you should use your own real photo or an avatar. Personally, I find that when you decide this is a long term type of business that you will see through and not just a rash decision that you change your mind later, then a real photo is great because you can really start building your own brand. Your credibility will be much stronger when someone can view your real photo. I especially like to see photos of the person as well as their family. You become real and not just someone who is trying to sell something.
