I've Seen It over a hundred times. WHY do people post with "Not MLM" on the title of their post? Is it because they want to appeal to the demographic of people that have been burned by scams? Honestly, I'm at my wits end with trying to figure it out.
Let's talk about some possible marketing set backs that may likely happen when this verbiage is used.
The first reaction most network marketers will have is ...... Insulted. The majority of these posts come from Facebook Groups. Within these Facebook Groups are hundreds of different titled MLM based businesses. So, with the majority of these MLM based businesses posting their own ads, the first thing they will remember reading is NOT MLM? How can you blame them for feeling that way? This is their livelihood. This is their bread and butter.
The second thing that happens is the credibility, nearly immediately, is decimated. The reason this may be the case is when you magnify most companies that post this, they are in some way or another MLM based. Your whole marketing takes a huge hit. One of the most powerful things you do, in network marketing, is grow relationships. When you sow doubt, you reap weak relationships.
The third thing that may likely happen.. Is you get a following from people that don't have previous MLM experience. The ramifications can vary, but ultimately the attraction of NOT MLM wears off, then you may not get the entrepreneurship work ethic that you generally get from successful network marketers.
In my humble opinion, you're better off, using the strategy "MLM Scam with this company"? This way people will read to find out if it is found out that is a scam or not.
I'm very proud of my MLM Roots. My call to action is embrace the strengths of MLM based companies, not highlight the possible weakness. Don't hide from MLM, showcase it!
